PIERO
MONCASCA
PIERO MONCASCA aims at
establishing a tradition of meetings among Italian-based macro-monetary
economists.
The final goal is to create synergies, strengthen the cooperation and
foster the development of joint research projects. Participation to
these workshops by researchers as well as Ph.D students close to thesis
completion and Post-Docs is encouraged.
The
first edition of the
PIERO MONCASCA MONEY-MACRO MEETINGS took place
at the University of Pavia on September 22, 2006. The meeting gathered
several researchers (a somewhat random sample may be seen here) who presented their work-in-progress
papers and
discussed them with a large and qualified audience. Given the success
of this
meeting, the
scientific committee decided to organize an official meeting each year
in
September.
This website collects some information regarding the PIERO MONCASCA MONEY-MACRO GROUP. In particular, it provides the programs of the previously organized workshops, along with the mailing list of the members of the group. Here this information goes:
There is a sort of 'moral commitment' required to each member of the group, i.e. that of attending the yearly meeting. If you want to become a member of the group or you have suggestions/proposals/critiques, please write an email to Efrem Castelnuovo. We look forward to meeting you at our workshops! The Scientific Committee Guido Ascari (University of Pavia) Efrem Castelnuovo (University of Padua) Carlo Favero (Bocconi University) Francesco Lippi (University of Sassari) Tommaso Monacelli (Bocconi University) Alessandro Secchi (Bank of Italy) p.s.: You may want to know that PIERO MONCASCA is a Homo Economicus combining the five founders of the project, namely Francesco LipPI, Carlo FavERO, Tommaso MONacelli, Efrem CAstelnuovo, and Guido ASCAri.
